CMB Professional Development Seminar: Dhananjay (DJ) Nawandar

DJ performed his thesis research project in the lab of Shannon Kenney in the McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research to graduate from the CMB program in 2017. In Shannon’s lab, he identified cellular and viral factors that regulate the latent to lytic switch of Epstein-Barr virus in epithelial cells. After his PhD, he moved to Boston to start a postdoc in Dana Farber Cancer Institute (Harvard Medical School), where he worked with Carl Novina to develop a novel epigenome re-engineering tool. After that, he joined Ring Therapeutics as the company’s first employee to develop a novel virology platform for gene therapy. His experiences span virology, oncology, and gene therapy.
