CMB Professional Development Seminar: Brandi Gathy

Speaker: Brandi Gathy, Product Manager with Mirus Bio

Brandi Gathy has worked in the biotechnology industry for 12 years, gaining experience in product development, process optimization, and project management. After receiving her PhD from the UW-Madison Cell and Molecular Biology program in 2012, Brandi spent seven years at Luminex Corporation where she specialized in developing lyophilization protocols, technical transfer, and scale-up procedures for lyophilized master mix used on the ARIES® sample to answer, real time PCR system. Additionally, her team developed and brought ARIES Exo+ Ready Mix to market, which allows customers maximum flexibility in developing user defined probe-based assays. Recently, Brandi accepted a new role as Product Manager for Mirus Bio, where she is passionate about leading new product launches and creating and managing digital content to support the high quality transfection reagents Mirus Bio develops. Outside of the office, Brandi spends hours upon hours at the dog park with her Vizsla puppy Izzy, enjoys the outdoors, and spending quality time with family and friends.
