Viewings and discussion of the film “Picture a Scientist”

We are pleased to let you know that the film, “Picture a Scientist” which has gained national attention will be available for viewing on campus. This film paints a nuanced, emotional, but unflinching portrait of the struggles diverse women in science have faced, both in the past and today.  The film challenges people of all backgrounds and genders to question their own implicit biases and move towards change. After viewing the film, you can participate in one of two panel discussions: one focused on the perspectives of UW Madison faculty and staff or one focused on the perspectives of UW-Madison students.
