Nick Arp
Credentials: The Fan Lab studies the dynamic reprogramming of cellular metabolism in different cellular states and environments. The highly dynamic innate immune cell, the macrophage, is our model of choice as these cells can change states, such as pro- or anti-inflammatory, to serve different functions in various contexts like pathogen killing or wound repair. Specifically, I am investigating the regulatory mechanisms of dehydrogenase complexes related to changes in metabolism and cellular function in pro-inflammatory macrophages using various approaches including metabolomics, isotopic tracing, and proteomics.
