Credentials: With the rise of multidrug resistance in bacteria, phage therapy is becoming more attractive as an alternative or supplement to conventional antibiotic treatment. One major challenge is finding phages which can elicit the greatest infectivity of a specific pathogen. I am interested in developing a continuous evolution platform to identify and generate optimized engineered phages with altered host specificity to distinct bacterial strains.
