Matthew Freeman
Credentials: Listeria monocytogenes is a clinically devastating intracellular pathogen which has evolved to make the host cytosol its replicative niche. Utilizing metabolically perturbed L. monocytogenes, I hope to define the mechanisms and utility of its bipartite intracellular metabolism. Additionally, we hope to understand in what ways bacterial metabolism interacts with the host.
