Credentials: My research project is focused on the HIV-1 viral life cycle, specifically viral genome trafficking, dimerization, and packaging into virus particles. Our goal is to create a system in which we are able to specifically distinguish between translation of HIV-1 viral RNA vs. packaging. I am also interested in what host factors may play a role in these processes.
