RESEARCH DESCRIPTION:
Out lab studies the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate mammalian heart regeneration. Specifically, we study the role that metabolism plays in reprogramming the adult heart to a regenerative state at the epigenetic and transcriptional level. Our lab uses multidisciplinary approaches to address these questions such as molecular biology, mouse genetics, surgical models, genomics, proteomics and transcriptional assays.
