The CMB Travel Award is offered twice yearly, when funds are available. Students are eligible to receive the award, which will cover up to $500 each time it is awarded, every other year. A call for applications goes out at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters.
- Current graduate students who have presented or will present a poster or talk at a scientific conference between August 1 and December 31 of the current year (for the fall travel award), or January 1 and July 31 of the current year (for the spring travel award); OR students who will travel to another lab to collaborate or learn a new technique during this time.
- Students are eligible to apply in the current round if they did not receive the award during the last two (fall and spring) rounds.
The Travel Award application consists of a cover sheet, an abstract, and a letter from your PI confirming travel plans and supporting the application. More details will be included in the call for proposals from the CMB Office. Travel Awardees can be found on the Student Honors page.
(Note: Research travel awards are also available through the Graduate School.)
