Why did you choose UW-Madison’s CMB Program?

I chose UW-Madison’s CMB program because of its policy prioritizing student’s holistic development. The way the program emphasizes rigorous research over coursework seemed essential for my professional development.

What inspired you to go into your field of study?

Curiosity. I wanted to learn how the body comes to be. It is not only exciting to unravel the developmental mechanisms, but they open up regenerative strategies.

What advice would you give to a student applying to graduate school?

Be prepared to put your back into it. Most of the spent energy will not produce results, but will help you grow.

When you are not in the lab, you are…….?

in one of the Union buildings.

What is a fun fact about yourself?

I will try to attend any event with free food.
