Rodrigo Ibarra

Credentials: My lab focuses on studying different aspects of the influenza virus, from replication machinery to host factors that regulate expression of viral genes. I am particularly interested in viral evolution; how different influenza populations evolve under selective pressures and how do new escape variants arise. I plan to answer these questions by using a series of barcoded viruses that allow us to quickly identify how new variants emerge.
