Credentials: My research aims to direct the adaptive evolution of the bacterial biofuel organism Z. mobilis to tolerate and ultimately increase isobutanol yields with the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC). I also investigate glycolytic networks' origins and evolutionary relationships through phylogenetic, chemical, and astrobiological perspectives.
