Susmit Mhatre

Credentials: My research aims to understand the mechanisms by which adult neural stem cells activate from quiescence and give birth to new neuronal cells. My project focuses specifically on the regulation of an intermediate filament protein vimentin and how its distribution between daughter cells during mitosis affects newborn neurons using in vivo imaging techniques.
