Credentials: I am studying the role of cortical excitability in cell division. Cortical excitability is characterized by the ability of proteins in the cell cortex to respond to and amplify signals from the cell. This amplification eventually leads to the formation of wavelike patterns of protein activity. My research aims to identify the proteins involved in the positive feedback of this process.
